3 Star

A Last Hurrah.

From the pen of Jonathan Sothcott (We Still Steal the Old Way, The Fall of the Essex Boys) and the direction of Daniel Zirilli (Curse of Alcatraz, Crossing Point), once again we see Ian Ogilvy cleaning up the streets of London, along with some other veterans.

To start with, it is easier for me to list the stars in this film right from the off, so say hello to.

Starring

Nick Moran (Lock Stock), Lee Majors (The Fall Guy), Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn Season 2), Louis Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Patsy Kensit (Lethal Weapon 2), Ian Ogilvy (We Still Kill the Old Way), Paul Barber (The Full Monty), Billy Murray (Rise of the Foot Soldier) Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott (Nemesis), Michael Paré (Streets of Fire), Stephanie Beacham (Dynasty), Michael Brandon (Dempsey & Makepeace) Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister (No Holds Barred)

The streets of London are now run by a multinational drugs cartel, and the head of London is Goram (Louis Mandylor). He is about to make an example of one of his rivals in the cocaine trade, Nate (Warren Hicks, Rupture, The Devil Came Home), first gruesome bit, as Nate won’t have light fingers in the future. Meanwhile, somewhere else nearby, homeless Burton (Nick Moran) pays tribute to a fallen soldier.

As he carries his belongings in his rucksack, he bumps into one of his father’s old army comrades, Major Carver (Lee Majors), who after questioning Burton, offers him a room in his flat. He tells him to go back to the meetings, of people of a similar experience who are these fellow ex-army, mercenaries Woody (Billy Murray), Carver (Lee Majors), Peck (Ian Ogilvy) and Harris (Paul Barber)

Local councillor Judy Carver (Patsy Kensit) has been making waves into Goram’s dodgy dealings, trying to get the police involved, but they are too scared to do anything, and they have been threatening her to drop her complaints. Meanwhile Savo (James Chalke, Missionary Man, Dead Trigger), one of Goram’s henchmen, deals out the final punishment on Nate. This involves police officers Moore (Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott, The Dead Girlfriend, The Krays: Dead Man Walking) and Collins (Paul Kennedy, The Fall, Nightride) as they give chase to the fleeing murderer.

Major Carver decides that he must intervene, on behalf of his daughter, so he goes to Savo’s nightclub, and suggests that the intimidation of a certain councillor should stop. This gets back to Goram who says that this old guy should be made an example of. Next day, Judy and Burton find out that her father’s body was dumped in the Thames.

This act of violence cannot go unavenged, so Burton, Woody, Peck and Harris, with help from an old information broker, Sanchez (Danny Trejo) they will take the fight to this organized crime syndicate.

A bunch of geriatric vigilantes.

Be prepared for some shenanigans, old London style. Is this one last hurrah for these veterans?
