5 Star
He Came, He Filmed, He Became a Legend.
From being an independent writer, director, producer and editor, Russ Meyer (Faster Pussycat… Kill! Kill!, Motorpsycho!, Up!) changed the film industry forever, with sexploitation, social commentary, racism, drama and the downright weird, all lead by his bevy of top-heavy leading ladies. All three films are over-the-top in their main theme of lust and women with mammary-licious bodies, a visual breast fest. These three iconic films have now been fully restored by The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Severin Films.
First 3 Films in Landmark Partnership with The Russ Meyer Trust.
Featuring nine Combined Hours of New & Archival Bonus Materials.
Vixen!.
1968 and couple Tom Palmer (Garth Pillsbury, Star Trek, Malibu High) and his young wife Vixen Palmer (Erica Gavin, Caged Heat, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls) live in the beautiful wilderness of Canada. Tom is a bush pilot and owner of a tourist lodge. He brings people from the States and further afield to their idyllic retreat to enjoy the fresh air, fishing and hunting. Vixen misses Tom while he is away, but she has needs, and she satisfies these needs with a Mountie (Peter Carpenter, Point of Terror, Blood Mania) out in the stunning scenery of Canada. Vixen’s brother Judd (Jon Evans, The Limping Man, Song of the Loon) lives at the lodge along with his best friend Niles (Harrison Page, A.W.O.L.: Absent Without Leave, Sledge Hammer! (TV Series)), the draft dodging youth that the racist Vixen will have nothing to do with, but anything with two legs or fewer is fair game for Vixens libido.
Supervixens
Is a strange tale of gas station attendant Clint Ramsey (Charles Pitt, The Pilot, Miss Leslie’s Dolls) and his relationship with the ultra-jealous SuperAngel (Shari Eubank, Chesty Anderson U.S. Navy). Her jealousy leads to her attacking the innocent Clint’s pickup with an axe, and as he tries to defend his vehicle the neighbour thinks he is attacking her, and calls the cops. Officer Harry Sledge (Charles Napier, The Blues Brothers, Rambo: First Blood Part II) turns up. Clint makes himself scarce to the local titty bar, where he gets drunk with the barmaid SuperHaji (Haji,
Bigfoot, The Killing of a Chinese Bookie). Meanwhile, Harry has taken a liking to the voluptuous SuperAngel and she to him, until he cannot perform the way she wants him to. This leads to events that Clint must go on the run. This in turn leads him to encounter some strange sex-hungry women, until he meets the woman of his dreams.
Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens
Is a satirical look at small town America in the late 70s, as all the residents spend their time bed hopping and satisfying their carnal lust with anything that has a pulse, even if they are in a coffin. Starring the titular talents of Kitten Natividad (Takin’ It Off (Video), Fags in the Fast Lane), Ann Marie (Supervixens, For Your Breasts’ Only (Video)), June Mack and Candy Samples (All the Way In!, Liberty), these ladies are chased by the men of the town, Lamar Shedd (Ken Kerr, Up!), Mr. Peterbuilt (Patrick Wright, Graduation Day, The Lincoln Conspiracy) and Martin Bormann (Henry Rowland, Wolf Larsen, Captain Midnight (TV Series)). A humping great film series. The restoration of these three films is just breathtakingly good, you can almost feel that flesh.
V is for Vixens
