Old Habits Make People Die.
Another Limited Edition Classic Horror from Hammer Film Productions and now Aim Publicity bring us this feature packed with Special Features and Limited Edition Contents (See Below). Once again, directed by Horror Legend Terence Fisher (The Brides of Dracula, The Revenge of Frankenstein, The Man Who Could Cheat Death, The Hound of the Baskervilles).
It is the time of enlightenment, which means grave robbers (Patrick Troughton, Jason and the Argonauts, Scars of Dracula) and tonight one is busy acquiring a fresh specimen for a local surgeon. The surgeon is Simon Helder (Shane Briant, Hawk the Slayer, Time Traveller), who is a keen advocate of the work of the ‘late’ Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing, Star Wars, Dr. Who and the Daleks, The Revenge of Frankenstein), he is also trying to create life. When the police officer (Norman Mitchell, The Pink Panther Strikes Again, Legend of the Werewolf) catches up with the grave robber, he spills the beans on Simon, which leads to his arrest on charges of Sorcery.
This gets Simon sent to the local Asylum, where he tries to be cordial with the director Adolf Klauss (John Stratton, The Long Arm, Great Expectations (TV Mini Series)), before he realizes that Simon is in fact an inmate. He hands him back to wardens Ernst (Philip Voss, Octopussy, Four Weddings and a Funeral) and Hans (Christopher Cunningham, The Charge of the Light Brigade, Lust for a Vampire), who decide to make an example of this cocky young man. They give him a hosing down with all the inmates watching, this angers Dr Carl Victor (Cushing) and his mute assistant Sarah ‘Angel’ Klauss (Madeline Smith, Live and Let Die, The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones).
It doesn’t take Simon long to work out who his Dr. is, or get in his good graces. He searches for what ever the good Dr. is keeping hidden, and when inmates start dying and body parts go missing, Simon must know and be a party to whatever is going on.
