Retirement Sucks!
Stuntman turned actor and director Nick McKinless (Transformers: The Last Knight, Fast X) brings Britains’ top action star Scott Adkins (Legacy of Lies, Castle Falls, The Legend of Hercules, Payback) in this who can you trust action shooter. Take cover confirms Scott is the action-man that deserves his own blockbuster.
Sanctioned sniper Sam Lorde (Scott Adkins) and his sex obsessed spotter Ken (Jack Parr, Peaky Blinders (TV Series), The Last Breath) are in London and they are waiting for their target to appear. They are after an arms dealer, when he appears he is not alone, a woman is with him and Ken believes she is of a dubious nature. Ken urges Sam to take the shot, and at that moment the woman turns and spots his lens-flare, throwing herself in front of his bullet. Sam is stunned that she did that, but Ken is all about the kill shot and pulls Sam out of his rever, and he finishes the job.
That’s a confirmed kill
Being in the centre of London, there are a lot of people and police, the pair now have to get away, and this is where we get to see Scotts martial art skills again, taking out armed police as they make their escape.
The death of the woman really throws Sam and he decides that it is time to retire, which does not sit well with Ken as he would be out of a job, but Sam is adamant and tells their handler Tamara (Alice Eve, Star Trek Into Darkness, Men in Black 3) who tells him to take some time off, So he goes and communes with nature.
But as usual they have to come back for one last job, reluctantly he agrees, and they head for their hotel, which turns out to be very swanky, and they get the penthouse suite, all complements of the manager. Sam, being paranoid, due to his occupation, doesn’t want the curtains opened. Ken thinks things are looking up when two massage therapist come up in the lift, and they know today’s password, Tamara is really treating them well. The women are Lily (Alba De Torrebruna, Apartment in Athens) and Mona (Madalina Bellariu Ion, Dampyr). Ken is well into the perks of this job, and when the manager comes up with a complementary dinner, things turn around very fast.
The manager says that the food is meant to eaten on the balcony, and before Sam can stop him, he has opened the curtain and the glass doors. That is when the bullets start flying, everybody is now in danger and there is nowhere to go.
How will Sam, Ken, Mona and Lily survive the night?
