Written and directed by serial documentary maker Robin Bextor (Wicked – The Real Story, Twisters: The Real Story) who goes in depth with this horror of all horrors, the one that shaped all vampires in film and television ever since.
With testimony from experts in horror and film Dr Cristina Massccesi, (Author), Nicholas Barber (Film Critic), Dr Sarah Crowther, (film lecturer), Tobias Churton (Author) and Stacey Abbott (Professor of film and television). They tell the story of Prana, the film studio set up to make films of the occult and the unexplained.
Based upon the work of Bram Stoker’s 1897 Gothic horror novel Dracula. With locations and names changed, Nosferatu was born, and the controversy begins with Bram Stokers wife and the trouble that Prana, and the director-F.W. Murnau (Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, Tabu: A Story of the South Seas) the genius with the vision, along with Director of Photography Fritz Arno Wagner (M, The Testament of Dr. Mabuse) who created so many iconic visions of Max Schreck (The Jew of Mestri, Rasputins Liebesabenteuer) as Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.
This is a must-watch for the ardent horror fan, and anybody that is just interested in iconic horror films. This is a real eye-opener.
