Down, Down, Deeper and Death

This series is based on the light novel series created by Fujino Ōmori (Wistoria: Wand and Sword (TV Series), DanMachi: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side – Sword Oratoria (TV Series), Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?). Where the fourteen-year-old Bell Cranel,(Bryson Baugus, Haikyuu!! (TV Series), Saint Seiya (TV Series)) adventures with the goddess Hestia, and the other adventurers of the world of Orario.

Season 4 starts with Bell recovering from his fight with the Minotaur Asterius, where he lost, but wasn’t fatally wounded (Season 3). Bell learns from Hestia that he has reached Level 4, which makes him much more powerful than his previous level. He is also warned by Fels (David Matranga, Attack on Titan, Wolf Children) that true peace between Orario (Humans) and the Xenos (Intelligent peaceful monsters) can be only achieved after someone conquers the bottom level of the Dungeon. This worries Bell, as the lowest they have been to is level twenty and there are many very difficult levels below the twenties.

Hestia informs her Familia that there is a new quest down to the lower levels, a first time for Bell and the others. Hestia decides to form an expedition team, inviting members from the Miach and Takemikazuchi Familias to help with the task. Aisha (Joanne Bonasso, Assassins Pride, Black Bullet) volunteers to join the expedition as well and helps with Haruhime’s (Allison L. Sumrall, Appleseed, From the New World) magic training, while Lilliluka (Hilary Haag, Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Chrono Crusade), who is one of the weakest members, accepts Daphne’s suggestion to act as a strategist for the team. Welf (David Wald,Golgo 13, Gintama: The Movie) forges new weapons and armour for the team, before they set out on their adventure.

With this being set in the deep dungeon, the Hestia Familia et al will face deadly danger that tests all their skills, plus throw in the evil machinations of the Evilus Familia and a friend accused of murder, which makes this one action packed opening to series four. Looking forward to part two.

The first opening theme for the fourth season is “Tentō” (天灯, lit. “Sky Lantern”) by sajou no hana, and the first ending theme is “Guide” by Saori Hayami.[3] The second opening theme is “Shikō” (視紅, lit. “Red Eyes”) by Saori Hayami, and the second ending theme is “Kirikizu” (切り傷, lit. “Cut”) by sajou no hana.
