Death to a Boogie Woogie Beat.

Director Timothy Woodward Jr. (Studio City (TV Series), Hickok) brings us a reworking of amazing Seven Samurai (1954) in this one versus the many. He does it with his tongue firmly wedged in his cheek as he adds a good amount of comedy, plenty of claret, and the great martial art skills of the leading lady (Natalie Burn, The Expendables 3, The Enforcer). Til Death Do Us Part is a dark romp, of rules that can’t be broken.

It is the happiest of days for the bride (Natalie Burn) and the groom (Ser’Darius Blain, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jumanji: The Next Level) as they prepare for their special day. The best man (Cam Gigandet, Twilight, Never Back Down) practices his speech, the guests and the other grooms men assemble and the brides maids visit their bride.

Before she makes her big entrance, she spies a woman with her newborn baby, and her face changes. The next time we see her, she is driving, and her phone starts to ring. It’s her groom, and she has something to tell him.

I can’t go through with it. I want out of all of it.

Now, you know better than anybody. That’s not possible.

The bride arrives at home, and sets about relaxing.

But these are not the vows you can walk away from, and the groom’s groomsmen know that as much as she does. The groom sends them to find her and contain her and the best man relishes his role in the lead.

These men and the bride are all friends that are members of a Uni and the rules say you are in it for life. The groom managed to convince them of their union, but with her pulling out, the dynamic changes and after a while it changes from containment to elimination. Now Groomsman 1 (D.Y. Sao, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Fast Vengeance), Groomsman 2 “Big Sexy” (Neb Chupin, Mindcage, Eye for an Eye), Groomsman 3 (Sam Lee Herring), Groomsman 4 (Orlando Jones, Evolution, The Replacements), no groomsman 5, so groomsman 6 is (Alan Silva, Red Snow, Mayans M.C. (TV Series)) and groomsman 7 T/Bone (Pancho Moler, 3 from Hell, 31). It’s them versus her.

We got a Bridezilla killer on the loose.

Til Death Do Us Part is a dark look into the “Happy Day” with great fight choreography as everyone shows off their skills, all told around how the Bride and Groom came to be.

Til Death Do Us Part is available on Digital.
