Flashbang, Bang, Bang Again
The Puerto Rico jungle comes back into view as the sequel to Fortress comes with a different director, Josh Sternfeld (Winter Solstice, As Blood Runs Deep) who brings back Bruce Willis (LOOPER, Anti-Life), Chad Michael Murray (Killing Field (a.k.a. Survive the Game)), Jesse Metcalfe (Hard Kill, Dead Rising: Endgame), and Kelly Greyson (Massacre at Buffalo Valley, Disturbing the Peace), following on shortly after the events of Fortress, it is greed and revenge time.
Events take place a couple of weeks after the attack on the retirement home for ex CIA spies, (there are flashbacks), where Robert (Willis) was taking it easy, and his son Paul (Jesse Metcalfe) was trying to save his crypto finance company by borrowing dads money. But Robert’s protégé Balzary (Chad Michael Murray) had different ideas about the CIA’s slush funds.
KYZYL Russia a woman is being held captive, she is Sasha (Natali Yura, ) Balzary’s wife, and she is being held as a hostage because Balzary hasn’t paid his debts, because of the events of the first film. But Robert doesn’t hold a grudge, he rescues her and gets a bullet in his shoulder for his good deed.
Back at the fortress, Paul and Kate are now an item, and the pair of them are helping with the clean-up operation now the place has been decommissioned. Along with Master Sergeant Ken Blain (Michael Sirow, Survive the Game, Infamous) is Sandra (Natalie Burn, Love Hurts, The Executioners). The fortress is all but deserted, but Kate tells Paul that they are about to have a visitor, her mother Carole (Welker White, The Irishman, The Forty-Year-Old Version). Kate doesn’t know that Carole has Kate’s sister Zoe (Gabrielle Haugh, The Institute) in tow, they are worried about the past events and want to meet the man that saved her daughter.
The main point is that Robert and Paul believe that Sasha’s husband is dead, along with his main Henchman Ulysses (Ser’Darius Blain, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jumanji: The Next Level), and it is a big shock when his henchmen break into the fortress for some well deserved revenge. Can an injured Robert and a love struck Paul save the day.
Same location, same shenanigans, new wife. Kevlar, lots of cash, and grenades.
