5 stars for the thrill of battling the World Government.
One Piece is a long running anime based on the serial in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine written by Eiichiro Oda and telling us of the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of his crew, the “Straw Hat Pirates”.
“Hey! My injuries are bad enough.Let’s not hurt my feelings too!”
This collection comprises episodes 300- 324 and concludes the Enies Lobby arc, taking us into the Post Enies Lobby arc. The usual spoiler alert applies here, we’re well into the story so don’t read on if you’re planning to watch the previous installments.
The Straw Hats are still at Enies Lobby, with Spandam (Christopher Corey Smith – Alpha and Omega 6: Dino Digs) poised to take Nico Robin (Stephanie Young – Baccano!) through the gates of justice.
Luffy (Colleen Clinkenbeard – High School DxD) is still locked in combat with Rob Lucci (Jason Liebrecht – Noragami) of CP9 and Franky (Patrick Seitz – Durarara!!) is desperately trying to reach Robin before she goes through the gates.
The Buster Call is in full swing and it will take every ounce of resolve our heroes have to get themselves out of this particular predicament.
As die hard fans will no doubt be aware, this collection includes the moment we have all been waiting for, so make sure to have a box of tissues at the ready for episode 312. With help from unexpected quarters, new crew members and plenty of surprises, this is a brilliant watch, as ever.
In true One Piece style there are plenty of tears and a very strong storyline full of important lessons concerning friendship and loyalty.
A must own for UK One Piece fans but this far into the story, probably not for the casual observer.
“Let’s go back everyone, back to the seas of adventure. I came to get you!”
