Carnaby International today announced a new, built-from-the-ground-up video game of the classic British indie film, Rise of the Footsoldier: The Mobile Game. The game, which will launch late January, is developed in partnership with Soho Game Development, Platinum Pictures, Akupara Games, and Flowstate XR. Featuring familiar faces from the RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER franchise, the game is reimagined as an old-school Beat-Em-Up style game with modern 3D graphics and updated gameplay mechanics.
Rise of the Footsoldier: The Mobile Game will exclusively launch on iOS (via App Store) and Android Mobile (via Google Play) on 31st January 2023, in line with the re-release of the 2007 film, RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER (2007): THE EXTREME EDITION.
Football Hooligans, Bent cops, and Yacht-owning psychopaths – Rise of the Footsoldier: The Mobile Game unleashes the mayhem of the movies upon players, who can opt-in to play as one of the three anti-heroes: Pat Tate, Tony Tucker, and Craig Rolfe. The story, fitting in between Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins and Rise of the Footsoldier: Marbella, is explored through distinctive cutscenes narrated by actor Billy Murray. Players can collect and choose from a range of individual weapons, as they progress through each level.
Inspired by the highly acclaimed 2007 British gangster and crime film of the same name, Rise of the Footsoldier – the video game sees players take on the roles of lead characters to smash their way through assorted gangsters, football hooligans, and bent cops to take on series antagonists Fisher and Greener in a new Footsoldier story. Players must utilize speed and fighting skills to avoid enemies, and engage in intense open combat to prove who is really in charge! It’s a satisfying battle of air kicks and uppercuts.
Produced by Andrew Loveday and Terry Stone, producers of the Rise of the Footsoldier films have said, “The game was created for fans of the franchise to give them the opportunity to play a quality action game as the characters from the film.”
